State Enterprises Investment Programme 2017

The State Enterprises Sector is comprised of 59 companies, of which 47 are wholly owned, seven are majority owned and five in which GORTT has a minority shareholding. These entities operate in the gas and oil industry, infrastructure development, banking and financial services, manufacturing, transport and communication, training, tourism, agriculture, information technology and the provision of social services.

In fiscal 2015, GORTT’s equity holding in the State Enterprises Sector totalled $14,492.8 million with a Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) of 2.7 percent. This Sector also contributes to the economy through foreign exchange earnings, employment, dividend payments and taxes.
