State Enterprises Investment Programme 2018

The State Enterprises Sector is comprised of 62 companies, of which 49 are wholly owned, eight are majority owned and 5 in which GORTT has a minority shareholding. These entities operate in the gas and oil industry, infrastructure development, banking and financial services, manufacturing, transport and communication, training, tourism, agriculture, information technology and the provision of social services.

In fiscal 2016, GORTT’s equity holding in the State Enterprises Sector totalled $13,946.1 million with a Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) of 2.2 percent. This Sector also contributes to the economy through foreign exchange earnings, employment, dividend payments and taxes.
